Our Story

Aussie Hire & Events began 37 years ago from the backyard of Dave and Trish’s family home.

What started as a small local business has grown over nearly four decades into one of Adelaide’s established event hire businesses, helping bring thousands of celebrations and events to life along the way.

Over the years, our range may have grown and event styles may have changed, but our approach hasn’t. We’re still a local, family-run business that genuinely cares about every event we’re lucky enough to be part of.

From weddings and milestone birthdays to corporate functions and large-scale events, we’ve grown alongside Adelaide while staying true to what has always mattered most to us great service, quality equipment and making the event planning process as easy as possible.

After 37 years of building and running the business, Dave and Trish Bown are now enjoying semi-retirement, while the next generation continues the family legacy Their daughter Steph Sayers, together with their son in-law Zane Sheehan, now manage the day-to-day operations, carrying on the values, experience and personal approach that Dave and Trish built the business on
